Early Life and Education
Anuj Nayyar was born on 28 august 1975 in Delhi,India.his father S.K Nayyar was a professor in delhi school of economics while his mother Meena Nayyar worked in south campus library of Delhi University.
Capt Anuj received his higher education from Army Public School,Dhaula Kaun.He was consistent performer in his studies and sports at high school.He cleared NDA examination and graduated from NDA khadakwasla,Pune and was later commisioned into 17 JAT unit of JAT regiment in the Indian Army

Love Story


Capt. Anuj Nayar goes back to the commander and returned his engagement ring.
He said " can you do me a favor sir", he opened the handkerchief, in that was her e
ngagement ring.. he give it to the commander and said "sir please ap yeh angoothi rakh lijiye,meri mangetar ne yeh mujhe di thi agar me wapis na aya toh yeh usey wapis kar dena"

Commander: " you will come back why you think like this? you will surely come back.

Anuj: "I know sir, bhagwan kare aesa hi ho sir bt agar me wapis na aya ap please yeh angoothi rakh lijiye sir,muhabbat ki amanat bht bhari hoti hai sir,me is ko le kar mar nahi payoonga" and he smiled...
After a long silence....
commander shook his head and anuj left.
When he was packing.. his fiancee comes, she was sad and wanted to stop him.
While leaving on army airport he spoke to his finacee.

Anuj : "Arey aj yeh hmesha pattar pattar karne wali aj chup kaise hai,kuch toh bolo "

Simran: " Kya bolu mein!!! "

Anuj : " I dont no...bye bye ya apni punjabi mein kuch bol de "CHANGA G"

Simran: "Jab dil dil se baat karta hai toh hothon ko chup rehna chahiye"

Anuj : "Arey wah,shayar ban gyi" gets the call to get into the plane.

Anuj: "Well thats it.." tells her it's time to leave.

Simran: " Sun tujhe bhut buri adat hai tu jatey huye wapis nahi dekhta,Is bar zarur dekhna warna zindagi bhar yahin khadi rahoongi"

Anuj: " Ha dekhoonga,but Ek sharat par,agar mujhe kuch hogya toh tum b wapis palat kar mat dekhna"

Simran: " tu mujhe samjha hi nahi, Anuj nayar, Zindagi se hath chudana mumkin hai bt mere se nai"

Anuj smiles,hold her and says "I love you" and leaves...she was standing there on airport until he left.
next conversation with his fiancee,told by his fellow army men and his fiancee..
He called her while coming out

Simran: hello Anuj

Anuj : aur kon ho sakta hai! its me..

Simran: I am proud of you anuj,tumhari battalion tv par thi, kab aarhe ho wapis

Anuj: we have won point 4540,4875 jeet kar wapis ayoonga..
then he said ,"ok suno agar me wapis na aya,toh tum kisi aur se..

Simran: Bkwas band karo

Anuj: take it easy,take it easy,be realistic yaar, THIS IS WAR,anything can happen,kuch b ho sakta hai.

Simran: tumhare pass engagement ring hai na!

Anuj looked at his hand,smiled and lied to her
"ha hai"

Simran: toh tumhe kuch nahi ho skta,you will be safe,yeh tujhe bachayegi aur tuje mere pass sehra bandh k le ayegi"
tears come in Anuj`s eye...

Anuj: " Ok love Jaisa tu kahe" Cut the phone..takes a long breath while sitting on the stone looking at the mountains..

Role in Kargil War

Due to its startegic location,securing point 4875 was a top priority for the Indian Army.The peak,which stood at 15,990 feet above sea level, had extremely steep slopes and capturing the peak without aerial support was considered near impossible.In a last-ditch attempt, C Coy, 17 Jat,of which Nayyar was the second in-command,decided to secure the peak without waiting for any aerial support on 6 July .
During the initial phase of C Coy's assault on Pimple II, Anuj company commander was injured,and command developed upon him.As the unit moved under heavy artillery and mortar fire,the leading team reported the loaction of 3-4 pakistani bunkers.Anuj moved forward and destroyed the first bunker with Rocket Launcher and Grenades.still under heavy fire,he then proceeded with team of 7 and destroyed two more bunkers.In the close combat he killed 9 pakistani soldiers and destroyed three medium machine gun bunkers.While clearing the last bunker an enemy RPG directly hit Nayyar and our hero slept for ever.



Maha Vir Chakra


Captain Anuj Nayyar was posthumusly awarded Maha Vir Chakra for his bravery and leadership in combat
his father S.K. Nayyar was alloted a gas station in Delhi by the Government of India in recognition of the services of his son. Tejbir Singh, a fellow soldier of Anuj,named his son Anuj in honour of Late Captain Anuj Nayyar.
 A road in janakpuri area of delhi, was named as "Captain Anuj Nayyar Marg".

Capt Manoj Kumar Pandey (25 june 1975-3 july 1999) was an Indian Army officer of the 1st battalion,11 Gorkha Rifles who was posthumously awarded the India's highest Military honor,Param Vir Chakra for his courage and leadership during the Kargil War in 1999.He laid his life in the line of duty during the attack on Jubar Top, Khalubar Hills in Batalik Sector,Kargil. Early Life and Education Ian Cardozo was born to Vincent Cardozo and Diana Cardozo in 1937 in Bombay,British India . He studied at St Xaviers college mumbai and has cleared his NDA exam to get commissioned into Indian Army .
